*Job Description*

  • Develop and estimate budget costs for light industrial construction projects by thoroughly analyzing plans, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Assess offers to purchase based on site conditions, cost adjustments, and necessary scope changes for light industrial facilities.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve cost discrepancies to ensure the financial integrity of each project.
  • Present detailed budgets, reports, and comprehensive project plans to stakeholders, including senior project managers and clients.
  • Craft competitive bids for light industrial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project alignment and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead meetings with clients, contractors, site managers, and staff to ensure clear communication and project execution.
  • Conduct bid reviews and thoroughly analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize bid deadlines, determining general conditions and project-specific requirements for light industrial projects.
  • Assist with pre-bid walk-throughs to identify key bid items and challenges.
  • Prepare detailed summaries of work and assemble proposal documents for submission to clients.
  • Facilitate smooth Estimator-to-Project Manager handoff meetings to ensure seamless project continuity.

*Ideal Candidate*

  • 3-5 years of experience in Estimating within the commercial or light industrial construction sector.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and budget analysis, with significant exposure to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Advanced understanding of contracting processes, negotiation techniques, and legal considerations specific to light industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of facility design, construction methods, sequencing, and project planning in light industrial construction.
  • Ability to assess client business constraints and how they impact project timelines and costs.
  • Experience estimating both competitive bid projects and conceptual budgets within the construction industry.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with strengths in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in public speaking and team leadership, with the ability to mentor and collaborate with project teams.
